About DittoSheets
DittoSheets is a web-based worksheet builder and memorization system for homeschool families, classroom teachers, co-ops and adult learners. It turns any text into printable copywork, tracing, first-letter and memory-line worksheets in seconds, so students from Pre-K to adulthood can practice handwriting and memorize text completely on their own.
The three-step memorization method
Every DittoSheets worksheet comes from the same idea: a student learns a text best by writing it, then recalling it with smaller and smaller hints. The three core sheet types are steps in that sequence, and all three are free.
- Copywork. The student copies the full text exactly as shown, building handwriting, spelling and retention at the same time.
- First Letter Hints. Only the first letter of each word is shown, with a blank line sized to the missing word. The student fills in the text from memory with a small prompt.
- Memory Lines. Blank lines the exact length of each word, with punctuation kept. Filling in the sheet is the quiz that proves the text is memorized.
