A name tracing worksheet prints a child's name in light gray letters on handwriting lines so they can trace over it, then write it on their own underneath. A three-year-old and a seven-year-old should not trace the same size letters. The size slider goes from a quarter inch to a full inch, and the letters, the lines and the spacing all scale together.

Preschool (3 to 4): 3/4 to 1 inch letters, three or four rows, darker tracing.
Pre-K and kindergarten: 1/2 to 5/8 inch, five rows, tracing plus one copywork row.
